Privacy Policy — Smart Claude Importer
Smart Claude Importer is a browser extension published by Antigravity Studio.
Last updated: October 9, 2026
Short version: your content stays yours. Web articles, text selections, and YouTube transcripts are processed locally on your device and uploaded directly into your own Anthropic Claude Projects when you explicitly ask for it. We collect no analytics, run no trackers, and never sell your data.
1. What data the extension handles
1.1 Content you choose to import
When you import an article, a highlight selection, or a YouTube video transcript, the content is
extracted and converted into clean, structured Markdown locally inside your browser. When you confirm
the import, that content is transmitted directly from your browser to Anthropic's Claude APIs
(/api/organizations/{org_id}/projects/{project_id}/docs) using your active authenticated Claude
session. Your content is stored solely within your chosen Claude Project Knowledge and is never routed
through or stored on servers operated by us.
1.2 Pro license information (optional)
If you purchase and activate a Pro license, the extension sends your license key together with a randomly generated device ID (a pseudorandom identifier generated locally on your machine) over HTTPS to our license proxy — a Cloudflare Worker — which communicates with Creem.io, our payment provider and Merchant of Record, to activate and periodically re-validate (approximately once a week) your purchase. This request occurs only during initial key entry or automated periodic license status refreshes. License validation information is used solely to verify feature entitlements. Payments are completed entirely on Creem.io's secure checkout pages; the extension never sees or stores payment card numbers or billing details.
1.3 Settings and counters
Your configuration preferences (such as default Ingestion Format: Fast Link vs. Smart Reader, destination project preference, and batch selection states) and your daily import quota counter are stored locally in your browser's extension storage. The daily counter and cached license status are also mirrored into local origin storage to prevent accidental data loss. The extension collects no analytics, no telemetry, no browsing history, and no advertising identifiers.
2. How data is used
All data handling is strictly limited to providing the extension's single core purpose: converting and saving the web content you choose into your Claude Project Knowledge, and verifying optional Pro license purchases.
3. What is shared
- Anthropic Claude — content you explicitly import is uploaded directly into your own Anthropic account and is governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Creem.io — your license key and device ID are verified by Creem.io for purchase validation and lifecycle management, governed by Creem's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — the license proxy runs on Cloudflare Workers; license verification requests transit Cloudflare's secure edge infrastructure.
We never sell user data and never transfer or share it for advertising, marketing, tracking, profiling, or any purpose outside the extension's stated features.
4. Security
All external communication occurs over encrypted HTTPS (TLS). Your Anthropic Claude authentication cookies and tokens are handled natively by your browser's cookie jar via standard credentialed requests and are never exported, logged, or exposed outside your local browser environment.
5. Retention and deletion
Local preferences, counters, and cached license information are deleted whenever you uninstall the extension or clear browser extension data. License records on Creem.io can be managed or deleted upon request via support. Documents imported into Claude reside in your Anthropic account and can be viewed, downloaded, or deleted inside Claude's Project Knowledge interface at any time.
6. Limited Use disclosure
The extension's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs / Chrome Web Store adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements:
- Data is used only to provide user-facing features directly requested by the user.
- Data is never transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide those features (the Creem.io license check).
- Data is never used or transferred for personalized advertising, credit assessment, or profiling.
- No humans read your imported content or personal data.
7. Changes to this policy
If our privacy practices change, we will update this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
